True to its name, Max & Ted's 480 Neighborhood Bar is just that, a gathering spot for nearby folks who congregate at this wood-paneled watering hole to sit for a spell. Grizzled bandanna-wearing bikers enjoy hitting on the buxom bartending babes, while polo shirt-clad businessmen watch SportsCenter on the tube and feast on buffalo wings, blue-collar workers make like Minnesota Fats on the pool tables, unshaven barflies drown themselves in drink, and dirty desert rats pick out Carly Simon and ABBA tracks on the jukebox. The place also gets packed on Friday and Saturday nights by karaoke cowboys, who come to assault other patrons with their off-key renditions of Shania Twain and Garth Brooks songs.
